Benefits of Wisdom
“For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”
Proverbs 8:11
Wisdom is far better than pearls, and nothing we desire on earth can be compared to her. Wisdom is superior to all the trappings of wealth! That’s why the Bible says, “Wisdom is the principal thing…”
At the base of God’s creation was wisdom! The Bible says, “The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.”
Proverbs 8:22
Wisdom is foundational to any building project, successful business or career. “Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:”
Proverbs 24:3
Solomon was endued with prudence and understanding to build the sanctuary of the Lord.
“I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.”
Proverbs 8:12
Do you know that majority of us are not wise or prudent in the management of phone? How much do you spend per month on your phone calls or data? Do you have a budget for it? Or a limit that you cannot exceed?
Let’s consider 3 benefits of wisdom:
1. Defence
“For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.”
Ecclesiastes 7:12
2. Direction
“If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.”
Ecclesiastes 10:10
3. Excellence
“Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the openingy⁷ of my lips shall be right things.”
Proverbs 8:6
I decree and declare that you will embrace wisdom and take advantage of its benefits in Jesus mighty name.
